Blogger of the Month: Sarah (Sarah Aurora)

Greetings from South Africa! It’s been a whirlwind here. We’ve been diving from 6AM-3PM and doing data analysis and listening to lectures until 8PM. By then, I was too knackered to do anything else. I will publish a post on my time here once we move from Sodwana Bay to Umkomaas tomorrow.

Enough about me, I’m excited to feature Sarah this month for Blogger of the Month!

Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Sarah and I’m a Dutch blogger. I have lived in Spain all my childhood until I was 17, which was not as much fun as it may sounds but now I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am a massive Harry Potter fan and if you walk into my room you will probably spot that immediately (my room is not that bad but it is a bit obvious via my laptop). Like any other person in the world I love Netflix and my favorite TV shows are Riverdale, Friends and How to get away with murder. I’m currently studying in Utrecht but in September I’m going to be studying in Hull for five months which I am so excited about!!

How did you get into blogging?

Last year at the end of the school year I was incredibly bored because I had to study and I was thinking of ways I could amuse myself. I loved beauty and make-up so I don’t know how I got to it but suddenly I thought: why not start a blog? I did wait until after my exams eventually so in July I posted my very first blog post and I am still loving it almost a year later

Tell us about your favorite blog post.

For Valentine’s day in the spur of the moment I decided to write a post about us wonderful women and our wonderful relationships. I talked about how in this day and age us women don’t need a man anymore, because we are totally independent strong women. But there’s also nothing wrong with wanting a man.

What are you doing when you’re not blogging?

When I’m not blogging I’m probably studying, but that’s kind of boring. So for a little more fun and still very true answer, if I’m not doing either of the previous two things, I’m watching Netflix. Other things I do include hanging out with friends and family and reading. Very cliché I know 😉

How long have you been vegan and what made you make the change?

I have been vegan for two years and two months now. When I moved to Holland I barely ate any meat because I mostly bought stuff from the vegetarian/vegan section. I decided to just quit meat altogether because I was eating so little anyway. But I was under the impression that meats had nutrients in them that I would be missing, so I did some research into it and quickly found veganism. Three months later and I was fully vegan!

What are you currently watching on television?

I just finished watching Riverdale and can’t wait for the new episodes to come out! To pass the time whilst I wait for that I’ve started watching Gilmore Girls and I’m absolutely loving that as well!

Where else can we find you?

You can find me on Instagram, which is definitely my favourite social media platform! Also on Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and of course you can follow my blog on bloglovin!
