At the end of last month, I moved to Seattle and was just getting settled in. I’m now all unpacked and enjoying my little house, a tour to come soon.
I got a job at a specialty hardware store. It’s not my dream job but it’s close, the pay is good, I get on well with my coworkers and I don’t dread going to work everyday (…yet). I hope to find a marine science related job before too long so we’ll see how long I stay in this position.

Views from work
One weekend, I took the train down to Newport, Oregon help my boyfriend Grant move into our house. He rented a U-Haul that we both loaded, I drove his car up to Seattle and helped him unload the U-Haul again. Now, although we live together, we don’t share a room. That might seem weird to some people, but we both like alone time but can still see the other any time we want. We have the basement part of a house that we share with two other people. We have our own rooms, entrance, small living room and bathroom downstairs so we basically just share the kitchen. Again, tour to come!

On the train leaving Seattle
Now that I work full-time, I’m settling into a good routine. I work 8-5, work out (walk/run or bike around beautiful Green Lake usually) as soon as I get home before I lose the sun, then spend the rest of the night eating dinner, reading and watching TV with Grant. On the weekends, we explore our area of Fremont and beyond. I’m really happy with my bold decision to move to Seattle without a job already lined up, but it’s paying off.
