Life as we know it
I’m trying a slightly different format of these months in review posts to include my favorite blog posts, let me know what you think!
After July was so crazy, I didn’t get up to much this month. Work, seeing friends (had some observer buddied come through and my coworker from college just moved here), hitting the gym and relaxing with books.
However, Grant and I did go camping last weekend in Barview on the Oregon Coast. This is an annual trip with his family friends with about a dozen of us. We made delicious food including a Spam cook-off, drank around the fire and walked around. Grant and I also snuck away for a few hours to go to the Tillamook Factory. It was pretty cool but obviously the best part was getting ice cream after (not that we don’t always have Tillamook ice cream at home).
A small but exciting thing for us: we got new (used) couch. My coworker just moved house and his new place came with a nicer couch than his already nice one, so he sold it to me for cheap and although it was a pain to move (heavy and I had to take my door off its hinges to get it into the house), I could not be happier. After a week I still smile every time I walk by it.
