Life as we know it

Summer is in full swing here in Seattle with the weather even being warm enough for shorts at night.

Grant and I spent a weekend in Vancouver, Canada that you can read all about here, but here’s the gist: we went for a Billy Talent concert that got postponed, but we still enjoyed watching playoff hockey, biking around Stanley Park and exploring the city.

Speaking of hockey, in Seattle I’ve been enjoying going to Seattle Thunderbirds games. Although it’s a bit of a drive, tickets are cheap and it’s still as fun as Kraken games! Not to mention this minor league has actually gotten far in the championships. As it stands they’re in the WHL finals! Other than that, I hit up the Udistrict street fair (a lot of great local food and products, I especially loved the van converted into a bookstore) but that’s about it for Seattle chilling!

It’s a long story not worth getting into but I quit my job at a certain “boutique” gym, which freed up my Memorial Day weekend so I roadtripped to Montana to visit my cousin’s family, which you can read all about in this post. Highlights include a quick stop in Spokane, seeing my friend Lisa in Missoula along the way, hanging out with my family, wandering around downtown Bozeman, visiting Yellowstone National Park and whitewater rafting along the Gallatin River.

Now, I’m finishing up my family assistant job and spending the summer working for a kid science camp, which although it’s tiring work, it’s a lot of fun. I love kids and I work well with everyone there!
